Msconfig

Msconfig is a tool I use weekly. Almost every program you install or comes installed by the manufacturer wants to run at startup. Msconfig gives you a list of the things that run in the startup and allows you to enable/disable them.
How do you know what to disable? Google the name of the application and see what it is.

from the Run Command type msconfig and click ok

Then click on the startup tab.

After you are done when you hit okay you should see the following message.

After you reboot you will get a screen telling you that the System configuration Utility was used.

Click don't show this message or launch the System configuration utility when windows start and click okay
